An easily accessible destination 

Sherbrooke is a ninety-minute drive from Montreal, two and one-half hours from Quebec City, forty-five minutes from Drummondville, thirty minutes from the American border and three and one-half hours from Ottawa. It is served by highway 10, the Eastern Townships autoroute, and highway 55, the Trans-Québécoise autoroute (accessible via highway 20, the Jean-Lesage autoroute).

Sherbrooke by Air

Most of international flights arrive in International Montreal-Trudeau Airport (90 minutes drive from Sherbrooke). If you wish to make a stay in Québec City before or after Society of Teaching and Learning in Higer Education (STLHE), it is possible to take flight towards Jean-Lesage International Airport (2 hours 30 minutes drive from Sherbrooke).

Once you have landed at the airport, you may reach Sherbrooke with the shuttle (Aéronavette) or by coach (please refer to the relevant section).

Sherbrooke by Train

VIA Rail Canada is proud to act as your preferred rail service. The fees proposed below are valid from June 16, 2018 to June 24, 2018, and may be applied at any VIA network train station travelling round-trip to Montreal or Quebec City. Restriction: these fees apply to a maximum of two travelers per reservation. One free en-route stop is permitted at no additional cost. For Business Class rate plans, the first en-route stop can be made at no additional cost, as long as this stop is in Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa. Discount: 10% off the lowest available price in Economy, Economy Plus, Business, Business Plus, Sleeper Class (discount is not valid for Economy Escape tariffs and Prestige Class). On the screen entitled.”Passenger Information », please choose « Promotional or Convention Discount” in the “Discount Type” drop-down menu, and enter the conference’s discount code in the field bearing the same name. Upon arrival at the Dorval station, you must go to the airport. There is a free shuttle service between the Dorval VIA Rail station and the Montreal-Trudeau International Airport. You may call them by using the direct line located on the exterior wall of the Dorval station (514 633-0975). You will be dropped off at the appropriate area in the Departures section. The shuttle leaves at regular intervals and the approximate travel time is 10 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Once you have arrived at the airport, you may travel to Sherbrooke with Aéronavette or by Coach (see relevant section).

Using Aéronavette to Travel from the Airport

This service is available at a special price, leaves directly from the airport and will drop you off at your hotel. The cost of a round-trip ticket is $120, tax included. Sherbrooke by bus from Montreal-Trudeau Airport

You must board the 747 Express Bus that connects the Gare d’autocars de Montréal / Berri-UQAM (The 747 Express Bus stop is located at the corner of Berri and Sainte-Catherine in Montreal) and the airport. This bus service, offered 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, takes about 45 minutes in light traffic. The bus fare is $10.00 and gives you free access to the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) bus system for 24 hours. This shuttle service is also available for people using a wheelchair. Tickets can be purchased at the airport (International arrival zone), at the Gare d’autocars de Montréal and at the Centre Infotouriste (1255 Peel, Montreal). Express buses depart from Montreal to Sherbrooke every hour or two hours depending on the time of day. The rate is about $74,25 taxes included, round trip.
